Finding Your Voice Out Loud! June 2025

This month, we’re highlighting two powerful ways to strengthen and support your voice: reading aloud and voicing in real-world, noisy environments. Whether you’re working on clarity, volume, or stamina, these simple practices can make a big difference!

Why Reading Out Loud Helps:

Reading aloud is one of the most effective and accessible ways to:

  • Build confidence in your voice

  • Improve breath support and phrasing

  • Strengthen vocal endurance

  • Practice intonation, pacing, and emotion
Try reading your favorite book, poem, or even a news article—just 5–10 minutes a day can help!

Tip: Read to a child, a pet, or even a plant—what matters is using your voice.

The Power of Noisy Places:

Daily environments like restaurants, grocery stores, or parks challenge your voice to project and stay strong amidst background noise. These situations:

  • Train your voice to carry further

  • Help with enunciation and clarity

  • Build real-world vocal stamina

  • Boost your comfort in speaking up

Tip: Practice saying your coffee order loudly and clearly while keeping your voice relaxed!

Try This: The “Roar & Read” Challenge!

This month, pick one passage to read aloud each day. Then, once a week, practice saying a short message (like “I’m here!” or “Excuse me!”) in a noisy setting. Track your progress—and your courage!

Remember:

Your voice is a muscle. The more you use it in meaningful, mindful ways, the stronger it gets. Don’t shy away from the noise—step into it and let your voice be heard!
